EVALUASI KINERJA RUAS JALAN (Studi Kasus : Jalan Bundaran PU Kota Kupang)

The high volume of traffic that passing through the Bundaran PU road caused the meeting of solid vehicles from different directions of street. This caused the vehicles build up on both lanes in the morning, aftrenoon, or evening. The vehicles build up due to the large number of vehicles passing through the road. Therefore, the research on these road has been conducted to determine the performance. In this study, the survey of road geometric, the survey of vehicle volume, the survey of side barriers, and also the survey of vehicles speed then analyzed using the calculation Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual method (MKJI, 1997) has been done. Based on the analysis, vehicles volume at peak hour is 1792,30 smp/hour with the side barriers 863 smp/hour in the A-B direction. While in the B-A direction, vehicles volume at peak hour is 1830,15 smp/hour with the side barriers 843,10 smp/hour. Based on calculation, the degree of saturation (DS) on the Bundaran PU road is 0,80 in the A-B direction, and 0,82 in the B-A direction. So based on the degree of saturation (DS), Bundaran PU road classified level of service at level D
