PENGARUH KOMPOSISI KULIT KOPI PADA MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI JAMUR KUPING DAN JAMUR TIRAM

Ear fungus is a type of wood fungus belonging to the heterobasidiomycetes class, which has high economic and nutritional value. Oyster mushroom is one of the most popular types of wood mushrooms because it has good nutritional content. The growing medium is one of the most important aspects to determine the success rate in the mushroom cultivation process. One of the efforts to anticipate this is by utilizing coffee skin waste. This study aims to determine the interaction between the type of fungus and growing media on the growth and yield of mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms are better than ear mushrooms in the mycelium growth process and mushroom yields. Medium with the addition of 20% coffee rind can show fungal growth and yield. This research activity was carried out from November 2019 to January 2020 at the Production Unit of the Center for Biotechnology Development, Integrated Land, Faculty of Agriculture-Animal Husbandry, University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This study used an experimental method in a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 2 types of fungi, namely J1: ear fungus and J2: Oyster mushroom, and 3 levels of coffee husk composition on the growing medium, namely K0: 0% coffee husk + sengon wood powder. 80% (Control), K1 : 20% coffee husk + 60% sengon wood powder and K2 : 40% coffee husk + 40% sengon wood powder. Observation parameters include mycelium growth, time of emergence of first primordia, age of first harvest, fresh weight, dry weight, total weight and biological efficiency. The data obtained were analyzed using the F table test at 5% level. If the F test shows a significant difference between treatments, then it is continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level to compare the treatments. The growth and yield of oyster mushrooms showed a significantly better difference than ear mushrooms which was indicated by the percentage of mycelium growth parameters in the treatment of oyster mushroom + coffee skin 35 DAI (100%), the time of emergence of the first primordia on the treatment of oyster mushroom + coffee skin (40 DAI) , wet weight of 2nd harvest on oyster mushroom + coffee skin treatment 0% (131.67g), 4th harvest on oyster mushroom + coffee skin treatment 0% (129.73g) and dry weight of 2nd harvest on ear fungus + coffee skin treatment 0% (13.19g), the 4th harvest in the treatment of oyster mushrooms + coffee skin 0% (12.98g)
