STUDENTS PERCEPTION ABOUT SONG LYRIC IN IMPROVING STUDENTS VOCABULARY

Song is a set of phrases that is accompanied by musical rhythms, contain message in the lyrics and can be sung. There are already many media that can be accessed to learn English, especially vocabulary. One of them is song lyric, song lyric here can be used as a medium to learn English, including to improve vocabulary. Song lyric can be used as a tool also to learn English, not a few students also use song lyric as a medium to learn English, especially to improve vocabulary. In this study, there were 40 students who were studied and asked for opinions to give a perception of the song lyric. The researcher used students of University Muhammadiyah Malang as research subjects. The aims of this study is to know students’ perecptions about song lyric can improving students vocabulary. The results of this study is from 40 respondents, they mentiond that they got the improvement of their vovacbulry through song lyric, we can proof that from the perception and also the new vocabulary that the respondent mentiond
