This study aims to determine how the effect of job characteristics on job satisfaction with work engagement as a mediator at Mie Kober Malang City. The type of research used is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The number of samples used in this study amounted to 60 people using census sampling technique. The data were collected by using questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is SEM PLS analysis (Structural Equaiton Modeling Partial Least Sqaure). The results of this study indicate that job characteristics have no significant effect on job satisfaction. Job characteristics have a significant effect on work engagement.
