KANDUNGAN SENYAWA DAN MEKANISME PADA TANAMAN HERBAL YANG BERKHASIAT SEBAGAI ANTI ALOPECIA (Sebuah Studi Literatur)

Background : Hair loss (Alopecia) is a condition in which the hair is detached from the skin surface either on the head or body. Herbal plants are plants that have been identified and have been known based on human observations to have compounds that are useful in preventing and curing disease. Purpose: To find out what plants are effective as antialopecia and what content and how the mechanism of action of the compounds used as antialopecia. Method: Using a descriptive qualitative research methodology, namely the study of literature. This study uses a research instrument in the form of the NVivo12 Pro application. Result and Conclusion: Plants that have antialopecia properties are Apium graveolens L., Camellia sinensis (L) OK, Capsicum Frutescens L., Aleurites moluccana, Centella asiatica (L) Urban, Hibiscus tiliaceus L., Sansevieria trifasciata Prain., Nothopanax scutellarium L., Angiopteris evecta, Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb., and Aloe vera. Furthermore, the content of compounds that act as antialopecia are flavonoids, saponins, tannins, alkaloids, phenols, vitamins A, B, C and E, glycosides, amino acids, polyphenols, apigenin, cinnamaldehyde, curcumin and egcg. The mechanism of action of these compounds is as an antioxidant, counter irritant, nourishes hair, increases vasodilation in blood vessels, strengthens capillary walls in hair follicle blood vessels, is a keratolytic and disinfectant, is bactericidal, and also stimulates and increases cell proliferation in hair dermal papillae. Based on the results of research using the NVivo 12 Pro application, the most frequently discussed topics including plants are celery, and the compound content is flavonoids.
