ANALISIS FRAMING PEMBERITAAN DEMO TOLAK JOKOWI TIGA PERIODE PADA PORTAL BERITA ONLINE CNNINDONESIA.COM DAN VIVA.CO.ID

The development of mass media is pretty much influenced by technology development itself. Online mass media is one of the media which develop and has a different characteristic than the old mass media. Even as the agent or an informant for the society, media has its interest as a company that gains profit from the click or reader on their site/news. News about the discourse of extending the presidential term recently received a lot of attention from the public, especially after the rejection through demonstrations. The postponement of the election has become a hot ball that has been rolled out by the elite of political parties lately. Despite many objections, this issue seems to have its own justification for doing so. The more rapid the narrative finally makes the people and students move to demonstrations.Through this study, the researcher wants to study how Viva.co.id and CNNIndonesia.com framed the news about demonstration against extending presidential term. By using a descriptive-qualitative approach, this study wants to observe the phenomenon of the portrayal of the two media in preaching demonstration issues. Data analysis used in this study is framing with Robert N. Entman model. The subject of this study is online media website, Viva.co.id and CNNIndonesia.com while the object of this study is the news about protests against extending presidential term. The data collection techniques in this study used news text documentation techniques from Viva.co.id and CNNIndonesia.com. The results of this study show that there is a difference between Viva.co.id and CNNIndonesia.com in preaching the event. Viva.co.id discussed more about the issue of violence with Ade Armando and focused on finding out who the triggers and perpetrators of the violent incident were. Viva.co.id suspects that the April 11 demonstration was used and infiltrated by certain groups. Meanwhile, CNNIndonesia.com consistently sees the events of the demonstration from the point of view of the demonstrators.
