ANALISA TERHADAP UPAYA PEMBINAAN BAGI NARAPIDANA PENYALAHGUNA NARKOBA OLEH LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN (STUDI KASUS DI LAPAS KELAS IIA KOTA KEDIRI)

Drug inmates require special coaching efforts. Especially for prisoners who are proven drug abusers as victims of abuse.This is in accordance with article 127 section 3 of The Constitution Number 35/2009 about narcotics. In the application of the article, the Penitentiary has a position to carry out training efforts against drug abuse inmates. Even so, until now the number of drug abuse cases remains high, so it is necessary to conduct a study to find out how the accountability of the Penitentiary and the effectiveness of coaching activities for drug inmates, especially drug abuse inmates. This paper aims to determine the development efforts against drug abusers prisoners, barriers to the development of drug abuse inmates, and solutions are undertaken by the Class IIA Penitentiary in Kediri. The method used in this writing is a sociological juridical approach in the form of observation to obtain data from the intended object. Conclusions and suggestions from this paper that class IIA Penitentiary in Kediri should make special coaching efforts for drug addicts in addition to coaching efforts in the form of counseling and drug therapy. Class IIA Penitentiary in Kediri needs to actively interact with prisoners to support the successful implementation of coaching efforts
