This article sets out to vividly illustrate that the duties of the seller contained in Article 255 of the OHADA Uniform Act on General Commercial Law has some bearings on the consumer buyer. Various provisions of the Act, in particular Article 255, make inroads into the consumer law position to strengthen the position of the consumer vis-à-vis the commercial buyer. Undoubtedly, sellers are facing an onerous task to comply, and eventually attempt to comply, with the satisfaction of consumers through the regulation of their commercial transactions with the commercial buyer.
