Incorporation of a well-defined functionalized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) into a polymer matrix represents a new chemical advancement for applied membrane technology. Herein, POSS nanocages densely decorated with silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) were used as effective hydrophilic and antibacterial additive.
