Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Washington, 2022Managing threatened species requires information on their status and predictions of their response to management and environmental change. To develop this information, we often collect data and use them to parameterize population models capable of projecting populations into the future under different conditions. Within many populations, individuals vary in traits such as survival, age at maturity, and migration behavior that affect the variability in population abundance through time and how they respond to environmental conditions.
