Use of numerical methods for foundation of earth dam on organic subsoil

W artykule przedstawiono zaporę ziemną posadowioną na gruntach organicznych. Zapora była i nadal jest monitorowana za pomocą pomiarów piezometrycznych oraz pomiarów przemieszczeń pionowych i poziomych obserwowanych reperów. Obliczenia przeprowadzono za pomocą modelu zmodyfikowanego Cam-Clay (MCC). Wyniki obliczonych przemieszczeń pionowych porównano z obserwowanymi oraz poddano krytycznej dyskusji.The numerical analysis combined with the theory of consolidation was used for the foundation of dam embankment built in stages on soft organic subsoil. The subsoil under the dam was covered with pre-consolidated organic mud and normally consolidated cohesive soil. The dam was and still is monitored by piezometer measurements as well as vertical and horizontal benchmarks displacements. The calculations were carried out using a modified Cam-Clay (MCC) model using CRISP software. A linear-elastic soil model was used for this embankment during construction.
