Counteracting the phenomenon of debris flow is implemented in various ways. As international practice has shown, hydrotechnical constructions occupy a special place among structures regulating debris flow . Despite the large variety of constructions, each of them has a strictly defined purpose. The specifics associated with the hazards of debris flow in a given area are taken into account when selecting such a construction The work indicates the expediency of applying semicylindrical open-web constructions to regulate debris flow. The methodology of selecting the design elements is presented.
