Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia. This is the first Italian-Amharic Vocabulary since 1937. It contains more than 20.000 entries and a bulk of idiomatic sentences, drawn from the contemporary language. The Amharic words are systematically transliterated into the Latin alphabet. The arrangement of the terms follows fully scientific criteria
