The article is presenting after twenty years since the discovery the main results of the excavations at Dahan-i Ghulaman (Sistan, East Iran). The settlement character of the site with the presence of private and public houses, together with a central religious building pre-proto-Zoroastrian in character enriches the problematic of a very important archaeological find. The work is also trying to clarify numerous cultural connections with the new archaeological evidences in Central Asia, at the time of the discovery of Dahan-i Ghulaman, completely unknown
