International audienceHyperhomocysteinemia is often associated with an increase in blood pressure. However our previous study has shown that methionine supplementation induced an increase in blood pressure in Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rats and a decrease in blood pressure in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) with significant differences in plasma homocysteine (Hcy) metabolites levels.
