A type of advanced γ-TiAl-based alloy called β-solidifying γ-TiAl has elicited remarkable research interest in the last few decadesbecause of its excellent workability and homogeneous microstructures. Thermomechanical treatments are widely applied to this alloy to obtain fine duplex microstructures.
