Recent studies by our groups have demonstrated the presence of BM-homing, BCR-ABL specific cytotoxic T cells (CTL) in Philadelphia chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ALL) patients during sole Imatinib mesylate maintenance treatment, that inversely correlated with minimal residual disease (MRD).
