The aim of this study is to examine the contraceptive knowledge, perception and identify preferred methods among married women attending Family planning Unit of Turai Umar Yar’adua Maternity and Children Hospital Katsina. The theory of planned behavior was used as a theoretical framework. A cross sectional descriptive survey was applied as a design. A total of 66 women were selected as the sample respondents from Family planning Unit of Turai Umar Yar’adua Maternity and Children Hospital Katsina. The sample size was determined by the use of sample size determination chat based on the statistics of the client’s register per month as obtained from the facility.
