This thesis focuses on the implementation and design of convolutional neural networks for image classification and object detection. It describes the process starting from data collection and manipulation, to creation of simple CNNs with a few layers, as well as a more complex implementation of a Residual Network which uses 50 layers for classifying images into predefined categories.
