An experimental study was conducted on a compression ignition (CI) engine using neat diesel and binary mixture of poppy and waste cooking (PWC) biodiesel-diesel blends. Biodiesel-diesel blends of B5, B10 and B20 for PWC were used in this investigation. The experiment was conducted for different engine speed (1200 rpm-2400 rpm) and load (25%, 50%, 75% and 100%). The speed of the engine was varied from 1200 rpm to 2400 rpm with 200 rpm interval. The performance of the engine output is presented in terms of brake power (BP), torque, brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) and brake thermal efficiency (BTE).
