Central Queensland University is one of many universities that are offering an increasing number of courses in an online mode. If this move is to be successful at an institutional level, it is important that online learning environments can be designed to support a wide range of pedagogical approaches. This paper will examine some of the issues that arose in designing and developing an online Problem Based Learning course at CQU, using the technological features available in WebCT.
