Rainfall prediction targets the determination of rainfall conditions over a specific location. It is considered vital for the agricultural industry and other industries. In this paper, we propose a new forecasting method that uses a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) to predict monthly rainfall for a selected location in eastern Australia. To our knowledge, this is the first time applying a deep CNN in predicting monthly rainfall.
