Background: The growth hormone (GH) response to resistance training is altered by many factors including sex steroid concentrations, fitness, intensity of exercise, age, gender, duration of exercise and glycemic state but the exact understanding of the interplay of different exercises to GH levels and its induced physiological adaptations is still obscure. This study aimed to see how resistance exercise affects GH levels and its correlation to plasma glucose levels in healthy non-obese adolescent subjects. Methods: 48 healthy non-obese adolescent subjects, 24 males and 24 females were included in the study. High volume exercise training regimen was used which involved major muscle group of arms, legs and trunk. Pre and post exercise levels o...
We investigated the joint impact of age, gender, and exercise intensity on growth hormone (GH) secre...
Previous research clearly indicates a linear relationship between exercise intensity and growth horm...
Objectives Exercise is a potent physiological stimulus of GH secretion. We hypothesized that exogeno...

Purpose We sought to determine if an acute heavy resistance exercise test (AHRET) would elicit sex-s...
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of acute heavy resistance exercise on the p...
Exercise is a potent physiological stimulus for growth hormone (GH) secretion with circulating GH co...
It has been suggested that obese individuals have a blunted GH response to spontaneous and stimulate...
Purpose: The purpose of this investigation was to examine the influence of resistance training on ci...
The aim of this study was to determine if 3-wks of short-term, high-intensity exercise training (HIT...
We previously reported that in young adult males growth hormone (GH) release is related to exercise ...
Background:¬ Exercise trainings with blood-flow restriction have been effective in improving variou...
The purpose of this study was to examine the responses of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growt...
To investigate the effects of exercise intensity on growth hormone (GH) release, 10 male subjects we...
