Background: Paediatric antibiotic prescription is a major concern in terms of public health since infections are the most frequent cause of childhood disease. The aim of this hospital-based cross sectional study was to assess the pattern of antibiotic use in the paediatric ward of RIMS hospital, Manipur, India.Methods: A retrospective study of six months duration was carried out for the month of October 2016 to March 2017. A total number of 200 patients case sheets were utilized for our study from paediatric in-patients department of RIMS hospital, Manipur.
