La enseñanza de la geografía en su práctica escolar cotidiana y el desafío de su innovación

The purpose is to reflect on the teaching of geography in its daily school practice and the challenge of its innovation in the contemporary world, given the validity of nineteenthcentury foundations, both in the disciplinary and in the pedagogical. Geographical education and its daily work in the classroom are assumed as an object of analysis. In this regard, experts who have studied, from the mid-twentieth century, to the present, this situation, from their approaches, structure an explanation on the teaching of geography, their daily school practice, as the requirement of their innovation. It concludes by highlighting the need to train citizens, according to their geographical reality, with the support of scientific research of qualitative accent.El propósito es reflexionar sobre la enseñanza de la geografía en su práctica escolar cotidiana y el desafío de su innovación en el mundo contemporáneo, ante la vigencia de los fundamentos decimonónicos, tanto en lo disciplinar como en la pedagógico. Se asume como objeto del análisis a la enseñanza geográfica y su labor diaria en el aula de clase. Al respecto, se acudió a expertos que han estudiado, desde mediados del siglo XX, hasta el presente, esta situación, para desde sus planteamientos, estructurar una explicación sobre la enseñanza de la geografía, su práctica escolar cotidiana, como la exigencia de su innovación. Se concluye al destacar la necesidad de formar a los ciudadanos, acorde con su realidad geográfica, con el apoyo de la investigación científica de acento cualitativo
