Heer Waris Shah is a famous poetic master piece of Punjabi language. Syed Waris Shah wrote it in 1766-67 and Sharif Kunjahi translated it into Urdu in 1991-92. It was the first Urdu translation of HeerWaris Shah. Shrif Kunjahi was an experienced translator and handled this difficult task very skillfully.
