The biography of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is a wide domain of Islamic studies and Seerah from which several subjects of Islamic studies sprang. One of the most important domains of Islamic scholarship is the writing of books on arguments to establish the truthfulness of the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). When Islam spread to Rome, Greek and the Indian subcontinent and non-Muslim philosophers advanced developed for denying the Prophethood of the Final Messenger, the Muslim scholars rose to the challenge and defended the glory of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Such books are called Dalail al-Nubuwwa. Different types of books were written on this subject. Some addressed the issue purely from a logical and philosophical perspective. Others incorporated the poetry of Arabs to reinforce the point, while still others used books of philology and exegesis, taking material from both sound and weak sources. Then there were books that cited, in the main, traditions of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and historical events. Almost all books relied heavily on mujizat (miracles). The principles of logic, philosophy, and different sciences were employed by the Muslim savants to clarify the issue
