ن۔م۔راشد کی اداریہ نویسی کا تحقیقی جائزہ: A Research Study of N M Rashid’s Editorial writing

The editorials are of utmost importance in the prose works of N.M Rashid. His editorials were published in the intellectual and literary magazines like "Ravi", "Nakhlistan" and "Shahkaar" respectively. He wrote on the different types of trends of his contemporary literature. He created guidelines for new intellectuals and poets for the betterment of the Urdu literature. He laid stress on literary criticism and genres of poetry. With a comparative study of classical intellectuals, he tried to assert their literary status. He prefers to Ghalib and Daagh over Zauq. He has denounced the poetry of Ibrahim Zauq. The reader can have a difference of opinion if he likes. We not only get an insight of his views on important issues through his editorials but these editorials are also the representatives of his literary style. After reading these editorials we come to the conclusion that Rashid is not only a prolific poet and also an excellent prose-writer too
