Bu çalışmada, Marmara Bölgesi'nde yetiştiriciliği yapılan dört farklı manda populasyonunda (İstanbul, Tekirdağ, Balıkesir ve Bursa) 20 mikrosatellit belirteci kullanılarak genetik çeşitliliğin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan istatistik analizler sonucunda toplam 179 allel tespit edilmiştir. Lokus başına allel sayısı 5 (ILSTS033) ile 17 (ETH003) arasında değişmiştir. Çalışmada genetik çeşitliliğin bir diğer ölçütü olan gözlenen ve beklenen heterozigotluk değerlerine ait sonuçlar sırasıyla 0,547 ve 0,625 ile 0,583 ve 0,684 arasında değişmektedir.
