غالبیات کا ایک معتبر حوالہ: شمس الرحمٰن فاروقی

Shamsur Rehman Farooqi is a renowned critic and researcher. He has a unique approach about modern and ancient Urdu literature. Though his specialty is ‘Meeriat' (the study about Meer Taqi Meer), he has also been writing about Ghalib for a long time. In his magazine ‘Shab Khoon' he has published selected annotation of ‘Deewane Ghalib' episodically. After that it was named ‘Tafheeme Ghalib' which earned acclamations from Ghalib's adorers. In this article, Farooqi's all research works, except ‘Tafheeme Ghalib' have been analyzed in depth. They include ‘Ghalib ke Chand Pehloo', ‘Ghalib per Chaar Tehreeren' and ‘Intakhabe Kulliate Ghalib'. During the analysis other origins have also been utilized to derive benefit where needed
