Sir Syed Ahmed Khan had immense efforts for the betterment of sub-continent’s Muslims in the domain of literature, History and historiography. He understood that if Muslims wanted to improve a modern education and a logical approach was imperative. Logical and rational thinking is an inseparable part of Sir Syed’s writings. In his translation of the Holy Quran ,he gave an idea that Islam is not against modern education. This translation and commentary on Holy Quran had caused unrest among many Muslims and many questions were raised about his religious views in the sub-continent.
