The writershighlighted the political oppression and pressure of dictatorship through symbolism. InSaraiki literature, symbolic short stories contain the different topics such asoppression, deprivation, injustice, revolt against feudalism extortion etc. In number ofshort stories the colour of abstraction is quite visible rather than symbolism. Thesymbols which have been elaborated in Saraiki short stories purely belong to Saraikiculture and landscape
