Qazi Maḥmūd Baḥri was a Sufi poet and prominent author of the Indo-Pak subcontinent. His knowledge of Arabic, Persian and Dakkani languages enabled him to employ exotic puns and stunning literary tricks. His collective works have been published many times. His ‘Arūs-i ‘Irfān is an important Persian text on Sufi thoughts and teachings. It is written in a very good style. Its language is simple but has scholarly taste.
