Bu çalışmada Kırklareli İli İğneada Beldesi'nden toplanan tıbbi ve süs bitkisi olarak bilinen kum zambağı (Pancratium maritimum L.) bitkisinin tohumları materiyal olarak kullanılmıştır. İlk aşamada çekirdek DNA içerik analizleri, Flow sitometri (PARTEC) cihazı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre ortalama 2C çekirdek DNA içerikleri 58.52±1.065 pg ile 60.34±1.834 pg arasında değiştiği belirlenmiştir.
