The linguistic market in Morocco provides an in-situ lens of the language situation in Africa. The national debate about foreign languages in education fluctuates between French and English language. The purpose of the present study is to explore research about English language acquisition in post-colonial Morocco. All studies conducted from 1956 to 2022 were considered for review. The paper examined publications from different resources (black and grey literature) based on a scoping review method. Results indicate that studies about the English language in Morocco focused on attitudes towards the English language, the history of language acquisition, the syntax of code-switching, and foreign languages policy.
