HUBUNGAN KECERDASAN EMOSI DAN SELF EFFICACY DENGAN TINGKAT STRES MAHASISWA YANG SEDANG MENGERJAKAN SKRIPSI

Abstract The purpose of this study is to test the correlation emotional intelligence and self efficacy with stress level college students who are doing the thesis, there are to independent variables and a dependent variables : (a) Emotional Intelligence (b) self efficacy (c) Stress Level. This study using Emotional Intelligence scale, self efficacy scale, and stress level scale which are constructed to measure emotional intelligence, self efficacy, stress level, this study using quantitative research method. The samples of this study were 34 college students in Faculty of education State University Surabaya. The subject were selected using purposive sampling method. Data obtained in this study is processed by Regresi Linier Berganda. The result indicate that are significant correlation between emotional intelligence and self efficacy with stress level, emotional intelligence have not significant correlation and negative with stress level, and than self efficacy have significant correlation negative with stress level. Keyword : Emotional Intelligence, Self Efficacy, Stress Level, College Students Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menguji hubungan Kecerdasan Emosi dan Self Efficacy dengan tingkat stres mahasiswa yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi Terdapat dua variabel bebas dan satu variabel terikat yaitu : (a) Kecerdasan Emosi, (b) Self Efiicacy, dan (c) tingkat stres. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala Kecerdasan Emosi, Self Efficacy dan Tingkat Stres yang disusun guna mengukur Kecerdasan Emosi, Self Efficacy dan Tingkat Stres. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah 34 mahasiswa di fakultas ilmu pendidikan universitas negeri Surabaya pada angakatn 2008. subyek dalam penelitian ini diseleksi menggunakan teknik purposive sampling data dianalisis menggunak teknik Regresi Berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara Kecerdasan Emosi dan Self Efficacy dengan Tingkat Stres, Kecerdasan emosi memiliki hubungan yang tidak signifikan dan negatif dengan Tingkat Stres, selanjutnya Self Efficacy memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dan negatif dengan Perilaku Agresi.
