PERMAINAN LARI BALOK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN GERAK DASAR LOKOMOTOR ANAK TUNAGRAHITA SEDANG

Abstract The basic move of locomotors was one of the movement domains which were often done by human. The experts defined the basic move of locomotors as the movements which caused the body move or wander to a number of places. Mid mentally retardation children were those who actually had disorder and retardation of mental development under average. For example, nine years old children, if their MA was six years it meant that their intelligence developments were almost same with the normal children of their own age. This condition influenced the aspect of the movement ability to the children, especially their basic move of locomotors. Therefore, it required a game media which could optimize the weakness using running bar game. The approach used in this research was quantitative. The kind of research used was pre experiment with one group pre-test post test design while the subjects were six students. The data collection methods were observation and test. The observation method was used to obtain the data about the student’s basic move of locomotors ability using running bar game while the test method was used to obtain the quantitative data about the students’ basic move of locomotors ability using running bar game. The time used in this research was eight times meeting i.e. once pre test, six times treatments, and once post test. The pre test result was 53,41 and the post test result was 77,91. The data obtained was then analyzed by analysis technique of statistic non parametric, sign test. Because Zh value was greater than Z table value it could be concluded that “there was significant influence of running bar game toward the basic move of locomotors ability to mid mentally retardation children” (Zh = 2,05 > Z table = 1,96, α = 5% so Ho was refused and Ha was accepted).   Keywords:  Running bar, basic move of locomotors
