TERAPI MUSIK KLASIK TERHADAP PERILAKU HIPERAKTIF PADA ANAK AUTIS

Abstract Children with autism have behavioral disorders. Children with autism tend to exhibit excessive behavior that is hyperactive; often leave the place and go back and forth without a clear purpose at the time when he was required to remain seated in place. The research problem is whether classical music therapy affect the behavior of hyperactivity in children with autism at the Special School Harapan Bunda Surabaya? The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of classical music therapy on the behavior of hyperactivity in children with autism at the Special Needs School Harapan Bunda Surabaya. Design used in this study is a single-subject research design (SSR). Research subject is one autistic child in Special Needs Schools Harapan Bunda Surabaya. Data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is in a state of visual analysis and visual analysis between conditions. The results showed that the baseline phase, the behavior of hyperactive children with autism exhibit stable behavior and shows a straight line on the graph means that the child leaves seat and walked up and down without a clear goal on average for 45 seconds each time meetings. After the treatment is applied to classical music and play by play classical music on children with autism in performing daily activities, leaving the child seat and walked up and down without any clear goal average of just over 27 seconds each time meetings. Visual analysis of the results showed a change in conditions that improved inter-condition and visual analysis showed a positive effect of the intervention on the behavior of hyperactive children with autism. It can be concluded that the classical music therapy has positive influence on behavioral hyperactivity in children with autism at the Special School Harapan Bunda Surabaya.
