Background: Inflammatory bowel diseases are chronic debilitating illnesses, nearly 3,9 million females and nearly 3,0 million males are living with IBD worldwide and the number of prevalent cases is on the rise. Malnutrition is not uncommon and is a grave complication that negatively impacts various clinical outcomes as it responsible for chronic weight loss.
