Background: The issues of prevention of wound complications in the surgical treatment of postoperative ventral hernias (POVG) remain relevant due to the increase in the number of surgical interventions on the abdominal organs and the development of postoperative ventral hernias in the aftermath. Despite the large number of proposed hernioplasty techniques for postoperative ventral hernias, the rates of wound complications remain high.
