The relationship between economic growth and environmental protection in the provinces of the Mekong Delta, Vietnam today

The 12th National Congress of the Party (2016) determined: “To develop harmoniously between width and depth, focusing on developing depth; development of knowledge economy, green economy. Economic growth must be closely connected with cultural and social development, environmental protection, and proactive response to climate change”. Accordingly, the requirement to associate environmental protection with economic progress in a sustainable way is the solution to industrialization and modernization of the country, integration, and development of the country. This article outlines the dialectical relationship between economic growth and environmental protection, thereby proposing solutions to harmoniously combine economic growth with environmental protection in the Mekong Delta provinces today
