Depressive symptomatology is currently as high as 10% to 20% among adolescents. This kind of suffering may have an influence in psychological development. This paper examines the relationship between styles of attachment, depressive symptomatology and negative life events. Indeed, it also studies the importance of age and gender on the abovementioned variables. The sample comprises 312 schooled adolescents whose ages are between 14 and 18. Results show that there is a significant connection between cold and abusive styles of attachment, depressive symptomatology and life events. This is consistent with the literature on this topic.
