Jamaica. Significant achievements 2010

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Jamaica during 2010 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as agrotourism, slaughterhouses, infrastructure, phytosanitary, standards, production, greenhouse, rural development, research, packaging, leadership, and marketing. Finally, work was done on decision-making, fishing, post-harvest handling, information management, pig farming, and the value chains of ginger, tomato, lobster, and bell pepper.Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Jamaica durante el 2010, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como agroturismo, mataderos, infraestructura, fitosanitario, normas, producción, invernadero, desarrollo rural, investigación, empaquetado, liderazgo, y mercadeo. Finalmente, se trabajó en la toma de decisiones, pesca, manejo postcosecha, manejo de la información, cría de cerdos y las cadenas de valor del jengibre, tomate, langosta y pimiento morrón
