The main objective of this research is to make a two-way approach between intersectionality and International Relations (IR), based on two transnational social movements and mobilizations: Ni Una Menos and Black Lives Matter. Starting from feminist studies in IR, we conceptualize intersectionality as an analytical tool and critical social theory. It is a methodologically qualitative and exploratory research, using technical bibliographic procedures. As a result, these movements make visible the transnational character of gender and racial discrimination and violence, which are co-produced in a scenario marked by colonialist legacies and geopolitical inequalities.
