Bibliometrics is both a research area determining the distribution of the information produced quantitatively by various factors and a research method. The aim of this study is to examine bibliometrics as a scientific discipline with a critical approach. In this context, the hypothesis of our study is as follows; "In assessing the productivity of research and researcher, bibliometric studies give more weight to quantitative aspects of the productivity. However, the productivity of research and researcher should not be determined only by quantitative aspects".
