Our aim is to evaluate and compare the most discussed articles on osteoporosis in academia and social media. The treatment of osteoporosis was the most popular topic in the top 100 citation (n = 31) and altmetric lists (n = 47). The general public, as well as academia, is curious about the treatment of osteoporosis. Purpose The main aim of this study is to investigate the trends in the field of osteoporosis and guide researchers by conducting bibliometric and altmetric analysis for osteoporosis with the most cited and discussed articles on social media. Methods The keyword "osteoporosis" was searched from the Web of Science All Databases and Altmetric.com website, and the top 100 (T100) citation and altmetric list was created, respectively....
