Simultaneous electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) recordings provide complementary advantages with regard to the temporal and spatial resolution of brain activity. This methodology still now suffers from several artifacts, such as the gradient, the ballistocardiogram (BCG) and electro-oculogram (EOG).
