Background: Endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) is crucial to diagnose and evaluate gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors (GIMTs). However, EUS-guided biopsy does not always differentiate gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) from leiomyomas.
