Para ello se conformo un grupo de 132 padres de familia con hijos con Necesidades educativas especiales específicamente discapacidad auditiva y Síndrome de Down, seleccionados no probabilísticamente de una población de 150 padres. Se utilizó la escala de ambiente familiar de Moos R. H. & Moos B. S. Los resultados nos indican que la prueba de ajuste a la muestra K-S, estableció que la muestra no tuvo una distribución normal, por lo tanto, se tuvo que aplicar las técnicas no paramétricas. Predomina un tipo de ambiente familiar normal en los padres con hijos con necesidades Educativas Especiales, sin embargo, en las siguientes 06 áreas, el ambiente familiar no es satisfactorio: independencia (53.8%), conflictos familiares (38.6%) disciplina y reglas (37.9%), actividades ético religiosos (36.4%), intereses culturales (33.3%)y organización – orden (31.1%). Se encontró que las relaciones estadísticas entre el área de disciplina – reglas con organización – orden hay una r = 0.224*, que es una correlación positiva baja.
