MEMÓRIAS DO PASSADO: REFLEXÕES SOBRE A ESCOLARIZAÇÃO DE MULHERES NORDESTINAS NA EDUCAÇÃO DE JOVENS E ADULTOS

The objective of this investigation is to identify, among the autobiographical and self-reflective narratives of adult and elderly women, specific issues that were part of their past histories and that justified the return to EJA schools, in current times. It was possible to count as an investigation technique, of semi-structured interviews, which functioned as conversations, directed with the purpose of questioning: what the research subjects - women, adults, elderly - see, in current times and what can say about access to education in the 1980s? What prevented these people from completing their studies at the appropriate age and what did you notice of change in the current times? The semi-structured interviews were audio recorded with four students. The research was carried out with EJA students from a regular school in the state of Ceará, in Brazil, as well as students from a public policy program for this public, at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte, Apodi campus. We found that there is still a continued denial of the right to education for this public, evidenced by the numerous times that the interviewees mention having tried to return to the school environment and had to, once again, drop out. On the other hand, when returning to school today, all of them were able to understand the female universe and, most importantly, to recognize themselves as citizens, as well as the entire system experienced by women in space-time. We certify that Youth and Adult Education presents itself as an alternative to repair a denied right, equalize social capital, and qualify EJA actors, the latter being a permanent function of the school.O objetivo dessa investigação consiste em identificar, entre as narrativas autobiográficas e autorreflexivas de mulheres adultas e idosas, questões específicas que fizeram parte de suas histórias do passado e que justificassem o retorno às escolas de EJA, em tempos atuais. Pôde-se contar como técnica de investigação, de entrevistas semiestruturadas, que funcionaram como conversas, dirigidas com o propósito de interrogar: o que os sujeitos da pesquisa – mulheres, adultas, idosas – enxergam, nos tempos atuais e o que podem nos dizer a respeito do acesso à educação na década de 1980? O que impediram essas pessoas de concluírem os estudos na idade adequada e o que perceberam de mudança nos tempos atuais? As entrevistas semiestruturadas foram gravadas em áudio, com quatro estudantes. A pesquisa foi realizada com estudantes da EJA de uma escola regular do estado do Ceará, como também com estudantes de um programa de política pública para este público, do Instituto Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, campus Apodi. Constatamos que ainda existe uma negação continuada do direito à educação para este público, comprovadas pelas inúmeras vezes em que as entrevistadas citam terem tentado voltar ao ambiente escolar e tiveram que, mais uma vez abandonar. Em contrapartida, todas puderam, no retorno à escola nos tempos atuais, entender o universo feminino e o mais importante, se autoreconhecer enquanto cidadãs, bem como toda a sistemática vivida pelas mulheres no espaço-tempo. Certificamos que a Educação de Jovens e Adultos se apresenta como uma alternativa para reparar um direito negado, equalizar os capitais sociais e qualificar os atores da EJA, sendo esta última uma função permanente da escola
